From a non-member visiting our booth at the Houston Boat Show.   Posted 02-09-2012.

Here is the info on the two 12HP Seaking outboards that we spoke about at the boat show on Sunday.

My father purchased the motors new and they were last run in the late 70’s and then stored in a barn in East Texas.  Feel free to post them and my contact info.  Greg Porter:  greg.Porter@exxonmobil.com   281-705-1325

1983 Evinrude 35 hp shortshaft/tiller with 1977 gearcase and exhaust housing, completely rebuilt, broken in properly, and ready to run, $1600.

This motor is for someone who wants a first rate modern 35, like John Slator and I run. I've rebuilt this one as carefully as I rebuilt my 1983 Johnson 35, and it's as fast as that motor. Has very high compression, starts very easily and idles well enough to troll with. I.e., it's a first rate 35.

Here's what was done: Cylinders were honed, pistons, rings, rod bearings, gaskets and seals are all new. Head and block each milled .

005" to insure perfect fit and sealing between the siamesed cylinders of the 1976-2001 35. Rods and crank are in top shape. Relatively new coils and powerpack, all ignition parts were tested. New Champion

L77JC4 spark plugs. New upper and lower shock mounts, new waterpump kit, new propshaft and driveshaft seals, OMC Hi-Vis gear oil. Motor has been broken in foran hour per OMC instructions and was run for a 2nd hour. Finn and I used it to go fishing in Oct., we caught four nice fish. Idles very well, accelerates and runs as well as a new 35.

Paint and decals are new. An al  10x15 al prop comes with the motor, will likely need repitching to 13". I can a offer a very good OMC SST

10x13 cupped prop for $200 more. The tiller handle has been changed since the photo, it's newer and longer. Frankly, I built this powerhead with the intention of selling it to GT-Pro racers in Minnesota, but no bites. I rework their props instead.

Here is a real deal on a Johnson PO and three barrels of NOS OMC Parts.  Posted 02/-09-20102.

Di, my name is Danny Mendiola: I received your information in an email from Tom Oncken.   I have been coresponding with him regaring some OMC parts I have. I would appriciate any help you could provide.

My wife and I purchased some property and it came with an old building. There is an outboard motor it is a 22.5 HP model “PO-15” made by Johnson in 1949.  If I read it correctly, its serial number appears to be 740304. There were also 3 small barrels (about 2ft tall and 3.5 ft round) of OMC parts still in the boxes. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

My wife made a list of the part numbers from one of the barrels and it is attached. She also took some pictures as will and I have attached a couple of them. Please let me know if you would like more pictures.

If you know someone that may be interested in buying in bulk that would be great. Tom did say you may be able to place them on your members web site to sell. Again just let us know we would appreciate any help you can provide.

My wife Lora is the best one to call I am out on the road most of the time. her number is 361-389-6631.  We are in Alice Tx near Corpus Christi by the way. Please feel free to email me or  her llmendiola06@yahoo.com or call.

The following are non-club members we met at the Houston Boat Show who came up to our club booth with the desire to find homes for their outboard motors/parts:

Mark Miller 713-398-0350 has a 1957 Evinrude Lightwin 3hp.

Dan Kloesel 713-252-6946 has an old electric trolling motor.

Mike Vaughan 318-469-8069 has a Mecury Bronze propellor.

Randy Hall 832-247-7485 has a 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 hp Johnson motor from the 60s or 70s.

A gentleman with the email: rmellettw@att.net  has a 40 hp Johnson outboard.

Mark Daigle 979 257-9140 has a "nice" Johnson Sea Horse opposed cylinder (we susprect  PO) that his wife wants him to find a home for.

If you are interested, this is all the info we have on these folks and their items, so please contact them individually.
