1949 Johnson 10 hp QD-10. It required a complete ignition replacement and needed the carb cleaned. It pumps water like a fire hose. This model is the first outboard my dad owned ca. 1953. It sounds good!

Here's the 1955 Evinrude 7.5 hp model 7518 that Scott-Atwater Al  passed on to me for $50. This one needed coils, points & condensers, plug wires
and plugs, fuel line and the crankcase valve that pressurizes the fuel tank. This  provides enough hp to plane a small boat that a 5-6 hp motor will not plane. We
have a 330 lb boat in Germany, our 1981 Evinrude 7.5 planes and pushes it 15 mpg. Our 1981 Evinrude 15 pushes it 26 mph.

1957 Johnson 5.5 hp CD-14. Meatball nearly forced me to take this motor at Kingsland, $125 with the stand shown. Show room quality,
runs very well after replacing the coils.
