OUR SPRING MEET HAS BEEN SCHEDULED AT KINGSLAND TEXAS AT THE LONGHORN RESORT IN KINGSLAND, TEXAS.

We plan on having a boat parade and a picnic style dinner. We are looking for a member who would be interested in hosting the dinner on Saturday. Please contact Adam Finn at afinn59@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.

Owners of classic cars and antique wooden boats are encouraged to join us this year to share your beautiful treasures at our show. Invitations and entry forms can be found by clicking on the links below, and can be downloaded and sent in. Deadlines are noted on the entry forms. Please contact our office if you have any questions.

The classic cars and wooden boats are divided into roughly 40 classes for cars and 20 classes for boats. Formal judging takes place on Saturday. Awards will be presented Sunday. Main categories include Best of Class and Runner Up, as well as Best of Show for both car and boat. Corinthian Awards are awarded to car and boats deserving of Special Mention. Emeritus Awards are presented to individuals who have contributed significantly to the growth of our event. The Awards presentation ends with the ultimate award known as the "Commodores Award for Best of Show for both car and boat. Peoples Choice Awards are presented Sunday afternoon as well.

All car and boat owners participating in the Concours are treated as honored guests. They receive Guest Membership cards for full use of the clubs restaurant and bar and pool facilities. Our objective is to extend the very best of "Texas Hospitality" to all involved to make them feel at home while at Lakewood.

Overnight security is provided by a combination of Off-Duty Police officers as well as a group of Lakewood members who literally spend the night with the cars and boats.

Over 200 additional volunteers are deployed throughout the grounds and harbor during the show hours to provide specific assistance to the car and boat owners all weekend.

8:00 - Cars and boats must be in place.

9:30 - Judging of cars and boats will begin.

10:00 - The Concours opens to the public - People's Choice Ballots given to spectators for People's Choice Awards.

3:30 - Presentation of Awards to boat owners - Poolside

5:00 - Concours closes to the public

Sunday, May 6

9:00 - Concours opens to public

1:00 - Presentation of Awards to car owners

4:00 - Concours closes to the public

LAKE CATHERINE MEET
2012

The Texas Chapter of the AOMCI has scheduled a meet at beautiful Lake Catherine in Hot Springs Arkansas for May 4-6, 2012

The club has reserved 12 cabins for this meet and many are still available. Don't wait too long to make your reservations, as the cabins will be going fast for this meet. Cabins rent from between $84.00 to $99.00 per night. There is a 30 day cancellation policy requirement at the State Park to avoid being charged for one nights stay.

The club has reserved 18 cabins for this meet as well as cabin 14 which is a 2 bedroom cabin. Don't wait too long to make your reservations, as the cabins will be going fast for this meet. Cabins rent from between $84.00 to $174.00 (2 bedroom cabin) per night. There is a 30 cancellation policy. To avoid being charged a one nights stay, you must cancel 30 days prior.
